The following are examples of tasks that may be performed by Special Item Number (SIN).  These are examples only and are not meant to exclude or limit any authentic environmental advisory service under this Federal Supply Schedule.  Examples include, but are not limited to the following:

Environmental Compliance Audits

As specified in the task order, the contractor shall determine all applicable public law statute, agency and command regulations/directives, and other federal, state and local regulations and apply as required to conduct audits.  The contractor shall evaluate findings, prepare necessary documenation/reports and conduct a complete out-brief.

GBK has provided environmental compliance assessment and support in sixteen countries, and throughout the United States.  Since 1993, GBK has supported over seventy Federal CONUS and OCONUS facilities in assessing compliance with federal, state and host nation requirements.

Compliance Management Planning

As specified in the task order,the contractor shall evelop management plans that will cover policy, planning, implementation and operation; hecking and corrective action; and management review.

GBK has broad, in-depth experience and personnel expertise in all facets of environmental management systems (EMS). As an original member of the US Technical Assistance Group of TC207, and for over fifteen years, GBK has assisted federal installations in the US and around the world in the design and deployment of environmental, occupational health and safety management systems conforming with international specifications (such as ISO 14001).
GBK has developed numerous implementation and management tools to include project management templates and EMS-centric information management systems.

Pollution Prevention Surveys

As specified in the task order, the contractor shall conduct pollution prevention surveys; develop pollution prevention plans, establish inventories for hazardous materials; evaluate the economics and technical feasibility of process changes and recycling alternatives; and create databases to track progress in achieving pollution prevention goals.

GBK has extensive experience in pollution prevention assessment and program implementation. Our experience includes conducting pollution prevention opportunity assessments (PPOA's), developing pollution prevention plans, and developing hazardous materials inventory data management tools. GBK has trained hundreds of federal environmental management personnel in the implementation and management of effective pollution prevention programs.
