Fort Sill EQD, Fort Sill

OKFort Sill operates an ongoing Cultural Management Support Program and GBK was tasked to provide a number of services for this. Primary tasks included the inventory and evaluation of historic properties for Nation Register eligibility, development and maintenance of databases relating historical property inventories and assessing and advising on the impacts of Army actions on such property.

Some milestones and deliverables included:

  • Inventoried and evaluated buildings for the National Historic Register
  • Maintained the Fort Sill Historic Property Inventory Database and developed a pictorial database of historic properties
  • Inspected and documented historic buildings, structures and landscapes as needed and maintained a database of Historic Property Condition Surveys
  • Provided an annual update of the Installation Cultural Resources Management Plan pertaining to historic buildings and landscapes
  • Reviewed and documented Army activities that affected historic buildings Provided technical support on appropriate treatments to ensure Section 106 compliance for historic properties
